SUMMARY:

Aliens are real. Diana Brooke knew this. They came like burglars in the dark, stealing Earth’s natural resources. In kind, she makes them pay for their thefts by tracking them across the planet and pilfering from them. Advance tech brought in good money after all. On a remote island, the group she’s tracked isn’t taking from the planet. They’re abducting humans.

Crypto is an Intergalactic Intelligence agent hell bent on tearing apart a human trafficking ring, but he’s separated from his team. There are many slavers guarding their island base and human casualties will be high if he attempts a rescue by himself. Then he confronts a female human clad in mismatched alien warrior tech. She is the opposite of all his expectations of this planet’s fragile race.

She makes it clear she hates aliens, but is willing to put aside her prejudice to help him save her people. His nanotech makes him appear like a man but his real form is terrifying. Can he steal this thief’s heart so she can see past their differences?

~ BOOK REVIEW for Crypto ~

****(4) out of 5 Stars!

This is a charming Romantic Suspense Sci-Fi novel!

This third volume of the Cosmos series begins just prior to Trace picking up Hack's nanobots after Crypto retrieved the transponder from the slavers' space shuttle.  We finally learn why they were unable to reach one another via their communication link, as well as why Crypto wasn't there to meet Trace, yet still was able to secure the device needed to cure Hack from his nanos being wiped out.  (You'll have to see Book #1 Trace and Book #2 Hack for further back-story, although the beginning of Crypto does a fair but limited job of hitting the highlights.)

Crypto is so distracted, however, by someone trailing him through the jungle as he attempts to make his rendeavous, that he manages to let himself get caught by the slavers.  Fortunately for him, Diana thinks he might be an asset to her, and decides to help him escape.

"I'm trying to rescue you, dumbass..."
"Why are you helping me?"...
"Because I need you."
He tried not to groan at her words.
Anything.  He'd do anything she needed.

It is only then that Diana learns that the aliens she's been observing on the island are in fact guarding humans to be sold on the black market slave trade.  She decides to join up with Crypto and try to help rescue them.

This volume is a little more fraught with danger than the proceeding ones.  And the main periphery characters are the bad guys.  Still, prior to their attempted rescue of the hostages, Crypto and Diana have enough down time to get to know each other... quite well.  So much so that she is understandably devastated when she thinks he has died.  Luckily, however, his team has his back, and Crypto is saved.

All the loose ends are tied up at the end of this book, bringing to a close the IIA investigation into the humans being sold on the intergalactic black market.  The epilogue even returns us to the Cosmos Resort and Dating Agency, where we receive a final update on everyone from Pete Peterson.

This is a fun, creative, sexy read for lovers of paranormal sci-fi romance with light touches of humor and a decent suspense mystery to be solved.  These books are part of the eight author Intergalactic Dating Agency mega-series; the rest of which I am eager to explore.  You can learn more by visiting: www.romancingthealien.com.  Warning: abductions may or may not be included!   ;-)

I received an eBook copy of this title from the author,
and have willingly provided an honest review.
