The final installment in the epic Olive Kennedy, Fairy World MD series by Tamara Grantham.
It’s been four years since Olive Kennedy sealed the portals between Earth and Faythander. Four years that she’s been living on Earth, working as a consultant to the Houston PD. It helps keep her mind off other things — like being separated from her husband and her dragon king stepfather.
Her ex, Brent Sanchez, works with her on the police force and helps her solve crimes. His friendship is a comfort — but also a reminder of what she’s missing.
Everything changes when Olive discovers a broken mirror at a murder scene. It contains magic, and although it shouldn’t exist, it could be used as a portal to Faythander. Dark forces are at work, and the one person she wants by her side to help her is literally a world away. Olive will stop at nothing to solve the murder and return to the only place she calls home.

BOOK BLITZ for "Baby Me" by Lacey Silks

Baby Me
(a With Me novella)
by Lacey Silks
Publication date:
November 28th, 2017
Genres: Adult, Romance
Falling in love with Cameron Madden was the easy part.

Keeping that love… well, that’s been a challenge.
See, everything was taken away from me. My faith has been tested. I’ve grieved, I’ve cried, and I’ve screamed in anger. Cameron was the only one by my side, and now that I’ve healed, it’s time for me to give him all that love back.
But in spite of Cameron’s love, the past still haunts me.

It gives me nightmares.

It sends fear coursing through my veins.

When the time comes to face that fear, I’ll have to do it alone.

And if I don’t succeed, I’ll lose everything all over again.

Excerpt:

By the time we came up, the tub was full. Kate lit a few more candles and double-checked the lock on the bathroom window just as a stray twig snapped against the glass from outside. She jumped back with a fearful gasp.
“I’m going to chop that birch tree first thing in the morning,” I said.
“That scared the shit out of me.”
“I should have cut it down last year, but my father got sick, and plans changed.”
She walked over to the side of the tub. She tugged at the button on her jeans, and my gaze dropped to her fingers. I followed the downward path as she unfastened her zipper.
“You mean the ones after I blew up the Mafia’s warehouse and you were blamed?”
“What?” She brought my attention temporarily back to her eyes because now that she was shimmying her ass out of her jeans, wiggling that behind like a pro and slowly exposing her thighs, I couldn’t help but look down again. Her checkered shirt draped over her legs. My mouth watered and my dick hardened.
She waved her hand. “Never mind.” Her voice was sultry and full of lust.
“Sorry. I didn’t hear you.”
How did she expect me to give her a coherent answer when she was now in the middle of removing her bra from underneath the button-up shirt? One hand snaked inside her sleeve, caught the strap, and pulled it through; then she repeated the motion with the other strap until she could remove the bra through her collar.
That was the sexiest thing I’d ever seen in my life. Two naturally standing breasts curved underneath the shirt, and I wondered whether I could get any harder. As she stood there with nothing on but that shirt, I couldn’t believe how lucky I was. One day, once she healed and was ready, it would be my honor to give her the child and family she’d always wanted.
“It’s just that you’re making it a little difficult to concentrate. The past follows us, Kate, and we can’t escape it; but I can assure you that the only part of my past I love, is you.”
She bit her lip and then licked it.
“Kate, what are you doing?”
“I thought my intentions were clear when I took my pants off, but I guess they weren’t clear enough,” she teased, and hooked her fingers into her panties. She removed them in slow motion, and when they were at her ankles, flicked them away with the tip of her toe. They flew onto the counter by the sink, but Kate lost her balance and I caught her just before she fell back into the tub full of suds.
“Got ya.” I held her in my arms. One of her free breasts pressed against my chest and the other one against my arm, and I was sure I didn’t have enough patience to control the situation much longer. “And what may your intentions be?”
“To take a bubble bath?”
“You don’t seem to be sure about that.”
“Shut up and kiss me.”
I lowered my mouth to hers at the request. She was soft and tasted like the best fucking thing that had ever touched my lips. I cupped her face between my hands and pressed harder against her, savoring all the tiny noises and pleas that came out of her mouth. She not only tasted delicious but also smelled like a fond memory. It did something crazy in my head, something I couldn’t understand. I swept my tongue against hers, back and forth, all the while feeling my dick grow in my pants. The confinement of my clothes was becoming more uncomfortable by the minute. I clasped my lips around her upper one, sucking on it.

BOOK BLITZ for "Wild Man (The Smith Brothers, #2)" by Sherilee Gray

Wild Man
(The Smith Brothers, #2)
by Sherilee Gray
Publication date:
November 28th, 2017
Genres: Erotica, Romance
The first time I saw Beau Smith’s face, I fell for him… hard. There’s just a few tiny problems. He lives wild. I’ve never left the city. He wants a wife who can handle his harsh world. I just want him.
He’s been burnt in the past, and he won’t let me in easily, but there’s no denying the spark between us, so intense it could set the woods on fire. And with every hot and dirty night we spend together, I can feel his walls crumbling.
But once he realizes I’m not what he signed up for, that I lied to him about who I am—will he still want me, or will I lose my wild man forever?
Warning: The Smith Brothers are not just identical twins, they’re big, burly, bearded, insanely hot mountain men. They’re also sweet, and very, very dirty. Did I mention dirty?

Excerpt:

She stepped closer and rested her hands on my chest, her cheeks flushed, eyes bright. “I’m so happy to be here with you, you have no idea,” she said softly.
My abs clenched. Jesus, just having her hands on me made me as hard as iron. “I think I have an idea.”
“Yeah?” she said, moving even closer.
I might have decided to keep my dick in my pants, but there was no way I wasn’t going to kiss her. I’d go mad if I didn’t taste those full lips. I dipped my head. “Oh yeah.”
We’d had a couple of hot and heavy conversations over the phone, but I’d tried not to go there too often with her. I knew this day was coming, and I had a definite idea of how our time together should be spent. If I’d been listening to her come over the phone the last six months all that would have disappeared out the window. Shit, I’d already have her naked in my bed.
I growled, shoving that image out of my head, and closed the distance between us.
Finally, our lips met…and I kid you not, the fucking angels sang.
My mouth covered hers, moving slowly at first, and my entire body lit up, every nerve ending sparking, my heart pounding. I slid my arms around her small waist and hauled her off her feet, lifting her so we were the same height. Shoving my fingers in her hair, I tilted my head to get more of her, and she opened for me, her sweet little tongue flicking out and brushing mine.
I’d been with quite a few women in my life. Like I said, I’d lived wild for a lot of years, acting out, trying to work out what I wanted. But as soon as I did, as soon as I knew what I wanted for my future, I’d stopped all of it. I’d focused on my goal, which was building a house and finding a woman who I could share it with. That was four years ago. Which meant I’d been celibate that long as well. So I wasn’t surprised by my reaction to Freya, by the pulsing need pounding through me at finally having her against me.
But I’d never in my life experienced anything like this. Like a live wire was sparking inside me, through my whole damn body. My hips punched forward all on their own, my cock impossibly hard. I knew I had to slow this down, take a step back, but God only knew how I was going to do that.

Emerson Lowe and popular ice-hockey player Jake McCallister have been best friends since third grade but just as their friendship starts to morph into something more, a terrible event occurs that heralds the end of innocence for both of them. Within a week, Jake’s living on the other side of the country and Emerson is left alone to pick up the pieces of her life in a small town determined to paint her as a liar.
Seven years on and Emerson is still living on the beautiful Pacific West island of Bainbridge, helping her family run their outdoor adventure company. But Jake—even better looking than Emerson remembered and on the cusp of a bright sporting future—seems determined to revive their friendship no matter how much Emerson tries to push him away and soon they’re in the midst of a passionate summer romance that neither of them wants to end.
But if they’re to have any kind of future, they’re first going to need to confront the past, a past that most people want to stay buried.

Excerpt:

I hear a voice behind me.
‘Need some help with that?’
I spin around.
It takes a couple of seconds for my brain to confirm that it’s actually him. That it’s actually Jake McCallister standing in front of me and not a hallucination. My heart does this fierce smash and rebound against my ribs as though it’s been violently woken from hibernation. I draw in a breath so big it feels like my lungs might explode, as if all that air is filling a vacuum and I’ll never be able to let it out again.
I hate this feeling. Hate the way the adrenaline floods my blood stream and tears sting my eyes. Hate the way my body reacts in a thousand contradictory ways at the sight of him, as though someone has plugged me into a wrong socket and fried all my synapses.
I have an impulse to throw myself at him but I’m not sure if it’s because I want to hug him or beat the living crap out of him. I drop the kayak, my hands fisting automatically at my sides.
I watch the smile on his lips fade when he notices the set of my jaw. His expression had started off wary but now I see him swallow and press his lips together, something he always does when he’s nervous.
I take note of that and at the same time notice a dozen other tiny, insignificant, monumental details about this new old Jake. I see the faded white scar on his chin—the one I gave him and the new scar cutting across his eyebrow. Then there’s his height – we were always the same height but now he’s tall. . . much taller than me. His dark brown hair is the same, though – unruly, untamed, falling in his eyes. He’s looking at me with the same mix of uncertainty that he looked at me the very last time I saw him.
I glance away, down at the sand. My whole body is shaking and I can’t seem to get it under control.
‘Em?’ I hear him say.
My head flies up before I can stop it. No one calls me that any more. His voice is deeper, mellower. The inflection though when he says my name is still just the same… and instantly something inside me starts coming undone. Jake always used to say my name like it belonged to him, and only him.

Forsyth Turn never wanted to be a hero. And yet, even in the Overrealm, a hero is what he’ll be.
After their last adventure in Hain, Forsyth expected to return to the life he’d built with Pip and Alis, his days of magic and heroics behind him. But then Pip starts suffering night terrors laced with images of glowing ivy and Elgar Reed calls with fears of bizarre threats and a man garbed all in black.

Forsyth refuses to believe that anything other than mundane coincidence is at work— until Elgar’s stalker leaves him a message too eerie and specific to ignore. Now, he has to face the possibility that Pip’s dreams and Elgar’s fears are connected... and that maybe they weren’t the only ones to escape the pages of The Tales of Kintyre Turn.

Publication date: November 28th, 2017
Genres: Adult, Paranormal

One where family ties are unwillingly being pulled into the mix and a simple choice of sides might end up in losing the woman he just claimed as his. A Hellhound has an eternal vow to never walk out on the losing side. Even more so when he’s had a slice of heaven.
Evil hides in the inevitable to rectify redemption. Dive into book one of Death by Reaper MC and submit to the sentimental truth that crawling into the darkness might be the only good this world has to offer.

Excerpt:

“You’re dead.” The drunk sneers.
The chick squats down and snatches up the half broken bottle. She throws a quick glance over her shoulder, probably to look for an exit strategy. That’s the moment we lock eyes. The corner of her mouth tips up in a smile, as if she fucking sees me. Sliding her eyes slightly down, she eyes the right side of my cut where it states ‘Death By Reaper MC’.
Os slaps the back of his hand against my pecs. “Dude. Are you visible right now? ‘Cause I swear it seems as if she’s looking right at you.”
Normally we keep in the shadows, it’s just easier that way. Like now. I know I’m not visible to humans, but it seems she can see me.
“Now you’ve done it.” Her voice is like a gentle caress when she talks to the drunk. “The reapers are coming for you,” she adds in a fucking sing-song voice.
“What the fuck? She knows what we are?” I growl. “How the hell…”
I don’t get a chance to finish my sentence because the drunk lunges forward. Before I can reach the chick, she sidesteps and kicks him in the back, making him face plant into the pavement.
The chick throws the crushed bottle she’s holding against the wall. “You two can handle this further, right? I have a train to catch.”
What the? “Os, reap the drunk’s soul,” I order before I catch up with the woman who’s hightailing it out of here and heading for the platform.
With her next breath, I’ve got her pinned against the wall with my body, blocking her every exit strategy. My nose trails a path down the curve of her neck. The hoodie she’s wearing over her head falls down, exposing her neck some more. Underneath her skin I can clearly see a vein where her heartbeat picks up speed. My fangs elongate and my mouth waters from her incredible sweet scent as I nuzzle her neck.
I just can’t help myself, it’s like an automatic craving that has been triggered. It seems to be the same way for her because her lower body arches forward in the limited space she has. This chick shivers in my grip and with that releases a turmoil of emotion inside me. Reaching the spot where her neck meets her collarbone, I have no control over what happens next.
Her head tilts, a submissive gesture, as if she’s granting me permission; offering herself to me. A true mate is one in a million, a connection that’s mutual, a pull you will only feel once in your life and know the second it hits. And it’s hitting me now, full force.

BOOK BLITZ for "Bad Princess" by Julianna Keyes

Bad Princess
by Julianna Keyes
Publication date: November 27th, 2017
Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance
Notorious for leaping off roofs, maiming foreign royals, and that twerking incident, Brinley Cantrella of Estau is nobody’s definition of a good princess. She’s fearless and bold, not good and gracious. And after a lifetime of being told she’s unfit to be queen, wearing the crown and helping to usher Estau into a new era is the one dream she’s never dared chase.
But when her older sister abdicates the throne, all Brinley has to do to inherit the role is not twerk, not maim anybody, and definitely not get caught fooling around topless with Prince Finn, her childhood crush, the only man she’s ever loved…and her sister’s former future husband.
Finn embodies the definition of good. Tall and handsome, serious and honorable, he always does the right thing—including agreeing to marry his ex’s sister to cover up this latest scandal. Brinley has fallen down stairs, broken teeth and broken bones, but this is the first time her heart has ever been broken. She now has the crown and the prince, and on the surface, life is good—but is being married to a man everyone swears could never love her back good enough?

Excerpt:

For Brinley, the girl who had spent her life exploring every forbidden nook and cranny, crawling under desks and peering behind paintings, the castle was very much her home. For Elle it had been a jail cell. Her perfect behavior had been that of a model prisoner, biding her time, waiting to break free. And now she had fled and left the world with—
“Brinley,” King Edric said. He rose from his seat where he waited with her father in the formal sitting room. He buttoned his perfectly tailored jacket and nodded politely. “How lovely to see you again.” The words were polite, but the man himself was cold and impersonal, his pale hair and eyes a visual representation of the permanent frost in his voice.
“And you,” Brinley replied, extending her hand for him to kiss. No matter the modern ideology of the kingdoms, some traditions never waned. She kept her eyes on his, her crooked smile bright and cheerful, even as she almost died from the effort required not to look at Finn, who stood just behind his father, calmly waiting his turn to greet her.
Edric finally released her and Finn took his place, taking her hand and pressing his lips to her knuckles. A roaring fire burned brightly behind him, but that was not the thing that made Brinley’s cheeks flush.
“Princess,” he said formally. Everything Finn did was formal. Everything about him from his carefully coiffed hair and his straight features to the brass buttons on his jacket and the tassels on his epaulets was formal. He was so stiff and handsome, but instead of off-putting Brinley found it incredibly tempting, the way she found the castle’s forbidden secret passageways tempting. She wanted to explore him. She wanted so desperately to see those carefully chiseled features crack a smile when it was not called for, to hear him laugh, curse, moan.
But even as she wished for it, she knew it would never happen. Elle may not have reciprocated his feelings, but Brinley had little doubt that he had cared deeply for her sister. It was mandated, after all, and Finn was very much a dutiful prince, one who always followed orders and never his heart.

LAUNCH PARTY & BOOK REVIEW for "Mustaches for Maddie" by Chad Morris and Shelly Brown

*****(5) out of 5 stars!

Mustaches for Maddie
by Chad Morris and Shelly Brown

The majority of the book is a pretty ordinary tale of a relatively normal girl who has to deal with the somewhat typical life of a middle-schooler.  There are family issues to deal with (comprising a couple of parents and four rather pesky brothers), school stuff (including teachers, homework, fellow students, and one big-time bully), and all of the other day-to-day life challenges that a 12-year-old girl has to face.

But it becomes a whole new ballgame when Maddie is diagnosed with a brain tumor.  Suddenly there are a lot more things to worry about and potential outcomes a lot more serious than anything she’s had to deal with before.  The authors bring all of Maddie’s hopes and fears, triumphs and trials to light in a very unique and believable way.  The reader really becomes immersed in the story and is able to put themselves in Maddie’s shoes.

While full of humor and fun, the book is still at it’s core about a young girl facing a brain tumor.  As such, there is a lot of strong emotion to be felt, including some genuinely sad and concerning parts.  Even knowing the outcome of the story ahead of time (since this story is based on the real-life experience of the authors’ daughter, who is still alive and well), there were several times when I was overcome by the emotion of the moment, and some instances that made me breakdown and cry.

About the only part of the book I did not like was the closing scene.  I couldn’t entirely decide if this was supposed to be a dream or a conscious fantasy of Maddie’s, if it was based of actual events happening in real life or was totally fabricated in her imagination, or what.  Despite all of the made-up segments throughout the story, to me this one just didn't seem to jive with the rest.  And while I understand the authors’ reasons for ending the book on such an ambiguous note (since not all such stories have the happy ending that theirs did), I still found it very unsatisfying from a reader’s viewpoint.

Still, the book dealt wonderfully well in a realistic and yet hopeful way with some really delicate issues, including the health crisis faced by Maddie, as well as the bullying problems she faced at school.  Overall, I greatly enjoyed this story and would definitely recommend it for all audiences.

Tainted Rose is Book Two in the new, paranormal reverse harem series.

Recommended for 18+ audience, containing mature sexual content and strong language.
EXCERPT:
“Mako? Are you sleep walking again?” Ryder’s voice made me relax as I rubbed at my eyes.
“Ryder, why did you guys put a wall in the middle of the hall? It’s blocking me from food.” I whined.
“There’s our Firefly.” Marcus praised, chuckling.
“I can’t believe she actually called Kai a wall.” Daniel mused, his voice sounded thick with sleep.
“Kai?” I asked, opening my eyes just as the apparent wall, turned around, brilliant amber eyes locking on me. I gawked at the sight; my heart raced at the new shifter before me.
He was six feet for sure, maybe only an inch away from Marcus’ height. His wind-blown, coiffed hair was a stunning orange. Holy Starlight, a GINGER!! Like those hot guys in the fashion magazines.
He smiled, his perfectly straight, white teeth making an appearance, only adding to his forbidden sexiness. I wonder if Adam in the bible was this good looking. Maybe that’s why that Eve shifter went and took that apple.

Tyler Richardson is freaking out! Not only did he invite his new girlfriend to meet his entire family, this is also the day they will exchange gifts. But what do you get a girl after dating for only two weeks? Should he listen to his friends and just give her a card, or should he ask for a second opinion?
Layla can’t believe she agreed to have dinner with Tyler and his family. What if they don’t like her? To make matter’s worse, they agreed to exchange Christmas gifts. The boy already has everything. And what if she gets him something that’s nicer than what he gets her? That would be really awkward. Asking him what he would like is completely out of the question. Maybe she should ask his friends for help.
After a rocky start, Tyler and Layla’s relationship is everybody’s relationship goals. But can Tyler and Layla survive the holidays without losing their cool?

Excerpt:

“I have a fundraiser this weekend and then we’re hosting a Christmas party the following weekend. I think it would be a great idea to bring your girlfriend to the Christmas party. Layla is her name, correct?”
“Yes, but I’m not bringing her here.” Not yet. They’re not going to judge her or belittle her as soon as her back is turned. I won’t allow it.
“Why not? Don’t you think we have a right to meet the person who is taking up so much of your time lately?”
That must be the joke of the hour. They never gave a crap before, so long as my butt wasn’t in jail, or doing anything to embarrass the family name. They didn’t care where I was. So why the change now?
“We’re not that serious yet.” I try to make it sound like nothing.
“I met your father’s family an hour after our first date.”
I want to say, “and look how well that turned out.” Mom’s miserable. Dad’s a douche. But congrats on upgrading your social status in life, ‘cause that’s what really matters. Pretty sure if I said any of this, my mom would slap the hell out of me.
“I don’t care. I’ll invite her but if she says no then that’s it. I’m not going to push her to meet you and Dad,” I say.
“Oh, she won’t just be meeting us. Your sister and her husband are coming as well as your aunts and uncles and everyone at your father’s firm.”
I narrow my eyes. “The whole family and Dad’s firm? Absolutely not.”
