Knight's Dominion
(Knights of Hell, #4)
by Sherilee Gray
Published: April 23, 2020
SUMMARY:
Fight. Eat. Sleep. Fight some more. Chaos's world is raw, uncompromising and solitary - just the way he likes it. But when Hell's bid to conquer the earth escalates, the Knights need help. If only their best chance wasn't a beautiful demi-demon warrior who fires insults like arrows... and makes Chaos burn hotter than hellfire.
After she lost everything, Burlesque dancer Grace Paten vowed to rid earth of the demon scum murdering and enslaving her people. But one brutal, arrogant Knight stands in her way... the man who destroyed her world, the man who ignites her temper almost as much as he ignites her lust. The last thing she expects is a request to fight alongside him.
Only working together can win this deadly war. Yet Grace must keep a secret from Chaos that could not only test loyalties, but hearts as well.

~ BOOK REVIEW for Knight's Dominion ~
****(4) out of 5 Stars
Another great tale in this exciting and fascinating series! As in the previous tomes, there is a lot of drama, action, mystery, angst, intrigue and suspense to be had. Since this world and it's general backstory is now well established, things here are pretty much just up and running from the get-go. In fact, we even know both of the main players already.
Chaos's mate is in indeed the ninja demi warrior Grace whom we met in prior volumes. The two are inexorably drawn together, even though he can't figure out why. It turns out that they are destined mates – something that she has been aware of for quite some time and has been blocking him from realizing. Only when her focus is gone and her guard drops does he learn the truth. Which doesn't help much, since she hates him beyond all reason and revels in telling him so constantly. Even though he has no idea what he could have possibly done to deserve her wrath. Eventually we learn the semi-valid reason behind her feelings. It still takes much time and effort before Grace begins to feel at all kindly toward Chaos. But he is finally able to show her by his actions, rather than his words, how much he cares about her and everyone else as well, and how much he values her as a partner. As with all of the other books, however, if these two had just communicated with one another... well, things would have been a lot easier for them, but a lot less interesting for us. LOL!
Of course, there is still a battle against evil going on in the midst of their personal drama. Things are really heating up, and the good guys appear to be about twelve steps behind and losing by a mile. Additionally, Grace doesn't help matters by making some rash choices and taking some unnecessary risks, including trusting some people that she really shouldn't. But with help from a couple of unexpected allies, and the sacrifice of an old friend, the knights and the demi warriors manage to hold their own... barely... at least for now.
We do get a few brief glimpses of all the major players from the prior books in the series, as well as other characters we've been introduced to. We also learn the identify of a few more individuals, and start to see a little bit clearer picture of what the other side intends to do. The only real question that remains is if the knights and their allies are up to the challenge of the ultimate showdown. The answer for now appears to be no, but hope springs eternal that some sort of power shift will occur to help them in their ultimate battle. And I, for one, can't wait to see what happens in the last couple volumes of this intriguing series!
