BOOK REVIEW for "Sealed With A Kiss (Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild, #4)" by Erin Nicholas

What’s a girl to do when her celebrity crush
needs her to be his fake girlfriend?

Sealed With a Kissan all-new romantic comedy filled with heated chemistry,
#4 in the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild series,
from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is available now!

Keep her damned feelings to herself. And her clothes on...

Naomi LeClaire is just a small-town girl who loves her quiet, simple life.

Donovan Foster is a sexy, charming, wildlife rescuing internet sensation who loves the spotlight.

What do these opposites have in common?

Only an impossible-to-resist chemistry that, when they’re stuck together in a storm becomes, well, impossible to resist.

But the aftermath of the storm gives them something else in common — a rescue mission to help victims. Oh, and a heat-of-the-moment kiss caught on camera by the local paparazzi. Not to mention an offer for a reality TV show documenting them falling in love while saving animals from crazy, dangerous situations.

Wow, that escalated quickly.

This should be the last thing Naomi is willing to do. But he’s leaving in two months for his next job, so what’s the worst that could happen?

He’s either going to be her greatest adventure. Or this wild whirlwind romance will blow over faster than a Gulf Coast hurricane.

All she can really do is hold on tight... and hope her heart isn’t left in shambles.

****(4) out of 5

This is the fourth entry in the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild series, and the first not to include a Landry as one of the leads. This volume instead features Naomi (Charlie and Jordan's childhood friend) and Donovan (Griffin's brother). The action starts up here in the middle of a hurricane, seven months after these two have met, but before their relationship (real or fake) has really gotten started. We've seen glimpses of both characters in prior volumes, but this is the first time we are learning much about either of them. Now we see how their pasts shaped each of them, not to mention how they have changed one another over the course of their acquaintance.

There are a lot of cameos in this book! And not only from prior couples of the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild and earlier Boys of the Bayou series, but also from the slightly related Hot Cakes series. It is definitely fun to see the gang and then some together again, especially when that involves them saving people and (of course!) animals that have been impacted by the hurricane that kicks off this tale.

It is lovely to see how Naomi and Donovan develop a relationship and struggle to build a future where they can be together. Of course, they face some trials along the way, both internal to each of them individually and to them as a couple, not to mention outside forces. But the ways in which they overcome those obstacles are enjoyable to see. I did feel that the scene where they were trapped together in the animal rescue center was a bit too rushed. While I'm not from the coast, I don't recall hearing about any hurricanes that are over as quickly as a tornado. But it was, in general, another very good addition to this delightful series.

by Kate Meader

Chicago Rebels goalie Erik gets his shot at love... but first he'll have to figure out what he did to offend the woman he's crushed on forever.

Casey Higgins, assistant to the Chicago Rebels owner, has a smile for everyone who comes into the front office—everyone but goalie Erik Jorgenson. And he has no idea why. For the last year, she’s refused to give him a kind word, and finally, he’s had enough. At the Rebels holiday party he’ll uncover the root of their mysterious conflict and show this woman that goalkeepers do their best work... on their knees.

Can a little Yuletide cheer get Erik into Casey’s good graces, warm bed, and frozen heart? Or will he fumble the puck and lose his chance? Join the Chicago Rebels this holiday season and find out if Erik is as good at saving Christmas as he is at saving goals!

***(4) out of 5 Stars

This was a delightful tale, encompassing the holiday season and employing a lot of Christmas spirit.  It was so nice to see Casey and Erik each finally find their special someone, and even better that they were able to resolve the issue that had her so upset with him in the first place. When certain facts come to light about that item, it makes all of the puzzle pieces fall into place.  Both of these two are such nice people; it's great to see them together.  It was also great to see other members of the team and their cohorts, especially so many of the leads from prior books.  However, Keanu had to be my favorite character.
