Another real good paranormal tale! Although this is book number two in the series, it is the first one that I've read from the Wolf Ranch series. However, other than a few minor bits of backstory - mostly related to the relationship between the two sisters, and possibly some about the three brothers - I didn't feel at all lost as to what was transpiring in the story.
The chemistry between Marina and Colton was undeniable, and made for some real steamy love scenes. I quickly got annoyed with his hot-and-cold treatment of her, however. Marina was younger than him by a considerable margin, but other than a few minor spats of juvenile behavior, she handled the whole thing much more maturely than Colton. Honestly, she put up with it all much better than I would have done!
There was some minor trouble with an outside force, but nothing very intense at all. There was also a brief reference to a prior incident, but most of it seemed to be laying background for a future confrontation that had yet to materialize.
The relationship between the sisters was fun to witness, as was that between the brothers; although they were most definitely different in many ways. I was rather irked at the impediment that the brothers seemed to throw up for Colton, and especially all of the trouble and unnecessary heartache that it caused for Marina.
Overall, this was a very fun, rather lighthearted, and definitely sexy take on the paranormal romance scene.
