BLOG TOUR & AUTHOR INTERVIEW with Mikki Noble for "The Last Atlantian"

The Last Atlantian
by Mikki Noble
Publication date:
December 13th, 2019
Genres: Mythology, Urban Fantasy, Young Adult
Spencer did not plan to work on her birthday. She didn’t plan a lot of things, but they happened anyway. Like, when she touched a guy and he turned into a gold statue, or when some stranger appeared to tell her she was in danger. She didn’t plan to see her life forever changed by one simple act, and it still happened anyway.
What Spencer doesn’t know is why. Why is all this happening to her? Why does she have the power to turn people into gold all of a sudden. Who is she really?
And why is this cute guy calling her the last Atlantian?

~AUTHOR INTERVIEW with Mikki Noble~

1) What gave you the inspiration for the storyline?

I had the idea that one of my character’s touches another and turns him to gold. I knew it had a King Midas feel, though I also knew it had nothing to do with King Midas. I was hoping it would have some kind of mythological angle and that’s how it became the story that it is today.

2) Are there any hidden (or not so hidden) themes in the book that you hope readers will discover?

Good question. Hmm, there may be. I hope that people will enjoy a different take on the Atlantis tale but that’s all I can say.

3) Are any of the characters based on real people you know?

No, there may be some similarities to people I’ve met but that’s purely coincidental. I try to write people I know into my stories unless they specifically ask me.

4) Who has influenced you most as a writer?

My friends and family influence me every day. I have great writer friends who keep me going and my family reads my work when they can. My mother has been telling me to publish my works since I was thirteen, so she’s always been extremely supportive.

5) If you could have any three literary characters over to your place for game night, who would you invite, what would you play, what would you serve, and why?

Percy Jackson (Percy Jackson series), Rosemarie Hathaway (Vampire Academy), Ron Weasley (Harry Potter).

I’d have nectar for Percy, junk foods for Rose and Ron (chicken wings, chips and dip, pizza) and some vegetarian options for myself.

Only choosing three was really difficult, but these are either my favorite characters or I think they’d be really fun to hang out with. As for the games we’d play, I’d love to hook up the Wii and bowl. I think it would be a blast.

6) Do you feel that you can ever have too many books?

Yes and no. If I had enough time to read them all then I’d say no. Sadly, I don’t and I have shelves upon shelves of books I really need to dig into.

Author Bio:
As far back as she can remember, Mikki was creating characters and stories in her head. It wasn’t until fate brushed the tip of its wings over her eyes that she began to see that writing was what she was born to do. She loves animals, reading, everything supernatural related, and enjoys spending her free time on social media whenever she can.
